Microplastic pollution is a growing issue in Indonesia, driven by widespread littering that breaks down into tiny particles and could contaminate commercially consumed fisheries. This project aims to increase public awareness and interest in the topic of microplastics by presenting scientific information in an interactive and engaging format. Users can learn at their own pace by choosing from three chapters: understanding how microplastics enter fish fillets through animated videos, identifying sources of microplastics through a quick and playful spotting game, and exploring the effects of microplastic consumption on humans through an interactive presentation.
Role: Content Research, Conceptualization, Copywriting, Asset Development (Animation & Illustration), UX Design, UI Design, Front-end Development
Researched microplastics and effective ways to communicate complex scientific information in an engaging manner. Developed initial website concepts through paper prototyping and gathered feedback via focus groups. Created visual assets including illustrations and animations, designed the final user interfaces, and built the website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Conducted usability testing through questionnaires and interviews to evaluate user experience and engagement.
