National Library (NLB) Singapore

2025,
Project under Oxygen Studio Designs Pte Ltd

This project is done for Singapore’s National Library Board as a Chinese literature recommendation booklet . The front cover concept is inspired by the past, present, and future of NLB, illustrating the evolution of libraries and reading culture over time. The past is represented by libraries located in shopping malls and people dressed in 80s fashion, while the present highlights current library experiences such as QR-code book borrowing and dedicated study spaces. Looking ahead, the future is drawn through immersive installations and the use of robots or smart assistants for book borrowing and returns. As a special SG60 edition, the back cover illustrates Singapore’s multicultural society, depicting people of different racial backgrounds coming together for National Day. The background contains a joyful and vibrant scene with the NLB building as the central focal point.
