KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH) is a leading tertiary hospital in Singapore specialising in women’s and children’s health, delivering compassionate care alongside medical education and research. This quarterly EDM shares the latest updates within the KKH community, with this issue focusing on burn injuries in children. Based on the established layout and typography system from the first issue, the design introduces a warm orange and yellow palette to reflect the burn theme, complemented by green to highlight a special feature on the national monument gazette of the old KKH building. Playful stickers illustrating causes and prevention tips reinforce the child-focused topic, while a simple animated GIF tells a story about the journey of KKH’s building gazette into a National Monument.
Role: Design & Layout
Adapted the existing design system to develop a visual direction aligned with the issue’s theme, including colour selection, image sourcing, layout design, and simple motion graphics. Coded the EDM using HTML and CSS. Acted as the main point of contact for client communication. Progressed design concepts through review cycles with the supervisors and creative director.
