ENCI is a mobile computer tomograph developed by scientists at Universität Hamburg and DESY. The machine enables researchers to read 4,000-year-old cuneiform tablets for the first time, even though they remain physically sealed from view. The logo is inspired by the scripts of cuneiform inscriptions, combined with elements drawn from the machine’s structure and name. The color palette is derived from the natural tones of soil and ancient artefacts, reinforcing the project’s archaeological context.
